John Francis Farndale, son of William and Mary (nee
Coverdale) Farndale (FAR00665), was born
in Thirsk District in the second quarter of 1932 (GRO
Vol 9D Page 672).
Northallerton

MANY YOUNG PEOPLE AT ROYAL SHOW. It was “half crown”
day at the Royal Show at Cambridge yesterday and there were large numbers of
young people at the showground. The programme consisted almost entirely of
events having popular appeal, demonstrations of sheep dog working, parades of
winning horses and cattle and of the Newmarket foxhounds. Large crowds watched
the children's horse jumping contest... In the national tool and machinery
competition organised by the Young Farmers Clubs, the junior challenge cup
was won by S Willis and J Farndale, Northallerton YFC....

Service to be held at St James' Church, Romanby on Monday, February 25 at
11.00am followed by private interment. Family flowers only please. Donations if
wished may be given after the Service to benefit the British Polio Fellowship
and St James' Church.
