Thomas Baker was the son of
Sampson and Millicent (nee Goodale) Baker (FAR00017). He
was born in or about 1611 probably at Market Bosworth, Leicestershire (Market Bosworth Parish Records).

c 1630
He may have attended school in
Leicester and then graduated at Cambridge University (Alumni Cantabrigienses).
1633
Thomas Baker married Anne Browne
at Holy Trinity, Coventry on 18 February 1633 (Holy Trinity, Coventry Parish Records).
