Edwin Swinfen Bellyse, of Springfield House, and Shrewbridge Lodge, Nantwich, and of Oakfield, Stapeley (jure uxoris), LSA (1843), LRCS, FRCS Edinburgh (1860), MOH Wybunbury District, Cheshire, Nantwich Charity Trustee 1866, educated at King’s College, London, Birmingham Medical School, Edinburgh University (MD 1843) and Paris, married Sarah Ann (died after 1896), daughter and heiress of Joseph Betteley, of Oakfield House, Stapeley, Cheshire and died 21 July 1877, leaving issue (Burke, John and Burke, Sir Bernard (1836)(Eighteenth Edition, 1972), Bellyse Baker of Highfields in Burke’s Landed Gentry, Volume 3, pages 35 to 38).
