Cadwgan Dod was the son of Kenric
Dod of Edge (DOD00013). He may have been born in or
about 1150.
Burke’s refers to him as Cadogan
Dod, son of Reginald Dod, who granted to the Hospitallers of St John of
Jerusalem an assart of land in Edge, given to him by
his brother Reginald in c 1180/1190. (Burke, John and Burke, Sir Bernard (1836)(Eighteenth Edition, 1972), Wolley Dod of Edge
in Burke’s Landed Gentry, Volume 3, pages
258 to 259).
