sheriff of York, Acrise de Hanlaby,
Roger de Fulthorp, William de Nessfield,
James de Raygate, John Clervaux
and John de Topclif of Rypon
to arrest and commit to prison all persons prosecuting appeals in derogation of
the judgement of the justices of the Bench whereby the king recovered against
the abbey of St Mary’s York, and Richard Belle, Chaplain, his presentation to
the church of Croft, lately void and in the King’s gift by reason of the
temporalities of the abbey of St Mary, York, being in his hand, and to the
hindrance of the king’s clerk, Henry Bowet, who holds the church on the king’s
presentation.
Commission
of oyer and terminer to Ralph de Hastynges, John
Moubray, Thomas de Ingleby, Roger de Fulthorp and
John de Laysyngby, on complaint by William Latymer
that John de Rungeton, John son of John Percy of
Kildale, John de Grenhowe, chaplain, John de Grenhow, parson in the church of Kildale, John Porter of
Farndale, Hugh Bailly of Farndale, Adam Bailly of Farndale, and others,
entered his free chace at Danby co York, hunted
therein without licence and took deer therefrom, and assaulted his men
