Sailor’s daughter of Whitby who married a joiner’s assistant

Sarah Farndale, daughter of John Farndale (FAR00136) of Whitby, sailor, was baptised in Whitby on 19 March 1737 (Brotton PR).

Sarah Farndale, married Richard Yeoman, a Joiner’s Assistant, on 2 March 1760 at Whitby Parish Church. She was aged 22.

They had a son, Richard Yeoman, who died at birth and was buried in Whitby on 24 August 1761.

Richard Yeoman, by then a carpenter, was buried on 13 October 1766 at St Mary, the Virgin, Whitby.
