Northern Weekly Gazette, 17 April 1926: FOND OF READING. This is my 4th letter to you, but I have not yet had the pleasure of seeing one of them in print. I am 10 years of age, and attend Margrave Park Council School. I am in standard IV. I am greatly interested in reading. Mother has taken the “Northern Weekly Gazette” for a long time now, and I enjoy reading it very much. I am now reading a book entitled “Trixie and her trio”. It is very interesting, and I won it at the Sunday School for a scripture prize. I have one pet, which is a black and white cat; nearly nine years old. I will now close, with best wishes to you and your Circle. From your loving member, Bessie Farndale, Boosbeck.
