Ethel Chesters Farndale, 28, of 180 Melfort Road, Thornton Heath, spinster, married Arthur Sidney Hart (born 3 May 1898), 27, a clerk, on 6 September 1924 at St Stephen, Norbury and Thornton Heath, Croydon District (St Stephen, Norbury PR). Ethel’s father, Samuel, was a civil servant at the time.

Arthur Sidney Hart was the son of Arthur Major Hart (1869 to 1946) and Elizabeth (nee Cooper) Hart (1875), and was baptised in Croydon on 21 August 1868, where he was brought up. He served in the London Regiment in World War 1.

Ethel Chesters Hart died, aged 68, on 6 September 1964 and her death was registered in the third quarter of 1964 at Edmonton, Middlesex (GRO Vol 5e page 303).

1980

Arthur Sidney Hart died in Findon, West Sussex in 1980 and was cremated at Worthing Crematorium (Find a Grave index).
