Richard Dod Baker was the daughter
of William and Ann (nee Hough) Baker (BAK00102). Richard was born on
26 July 1815 and baptised at Audlem on
15 November 1815 (Audlem Parish Records).
Richard Dod, born 26 July 1815,
educated Shrewsbury, dsp (Burke, John and Burke, Sir
Bernard (1836)(Eighteenth Edition, 1972), Bellyse
Baker of Highfields in Burke’s Landed Gentry, Volume 3, pages
35 to 38).
1831
He was educated at
Shrewsbury School, to which he was admitted
in 1831 and left in 1834.
1833
He became an articled clerk to John Cooper Beckett, a
solicitor, in 1833 and was later a solicitor at Audlem.
