Charity Baker was the daughter of William and Mary (nee Bourne) Baker (BAK00106). She was baptised at St Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke on Trent on 5 February 1796 (St Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke on Trent Parish Records).

 

 

Charity, married 1825, Philip Barnes Broade, JP, of Fenton Manor House, and Fenton Vivian, and dsp 24 July 1844. He died 12 August 1852, when his estate was converted to his own use by his solicitor Francis Stanier, who assumed the name of Broade for several years. Charity Baker married on 14 April 1825 at St Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke-on-Trent, Philip Barnes Broade JP (1803-52) of Fenton Manor House and Fenton Vivian (St Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke on Trent Parish Records). It was a double wedding with her sister, Harriet.

 

 

They had no family.

 

1844

 

She died in 1844, aged 48, and was buried on 30 July 1844 (St Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke on Trent Parish Records). When she died, they lived at the Manor House, Fenton.
