daughter of George William and Doris May (nee Earnshaw) Farndale (FAR00678),
was born in 1925 and her birth was registered in
Maidstone District, Kent, in the third quarter of 1925 (GRO Vol 2A Page 1471).

Telegraph, 23 July 1937: SCHOOL SPORTS AT CHICHESTER.
CHILDREN AND PARENTS EXCITED. Parents became as excited as their children at
the annual sports of the Chichester Central Junior Church of England Girls’
School in the Theological College sports ground yesterday week. There was a
long series of races, and at the conclusion the prizes were presented by the
Mayoress, who also handed special awards to children who had achieved merit in
the recent West Sussex County Council examination.... Results... 60 yards sack

Observer, 21 July 1937: RUNNING THROUGH THE RAINDROPS. CENTRAL
GIRLS’ SPORTS. In a small field hidden away between St Bartholomew's church and
the back of the Bishop's palace gardens the girls of the Central Girls’ School
held their annual sports, on Thursday. Dull skies and occasional drops of rain
did nothing to mar the enthusiasm of the young athletes, and the rain which
fell yet later in the afternoon and evening just came at the conclusion of the
meeting. A large crowd of parents and friends was present to watch the racing,
which was very much enjoyed by competitors and spectators alike.... 60 yards

Brenda Farndale
married Reginald Ashton Pegg (1920 to 1973) in 1945 and their marriage was
registered in Stafford District, Staffordshire in the second quarter of 1945 (GRO Vol 6b page 25). Reginald Ashton Pegg was the
son of Harold Pegg (1897 to 1962) and Annie (nee Davies) Pegg (1896 to
1983) and was born on 11 September 1920. He became a Superintendent in the West
Midlands Police Force.
1947
They had three
sons and a daughter.
Stewart Lindsay
Pegg (1947 to 2005) was born in 1947. Stewart Pegg married Lisa J Hall in 2002.

November to Patricia (presumably his daughter, FAR00894) Smith (wife of Allen
Gordon Smith) and Brenda (his daughter FAR00904) Pegg (wife of

Pegg died on 31 December 1973 in Wombourn,
Staffordshire (GRO Vol 9b page 342, Probate Index).

Brenda Willshaw died in 1997 aged 71
