1676

George Farndale, son of John and Margarita (Margaret) (nee Herd) Farndale (FAR00087) of Whitby was baptised on 21 August 1676 (Whitby PR).

1700

George’s father was the first who settled in Whitby, but the family came from Liverton and Skelton. It is possible that the widow Alice Farndale who died in 1745 in Skelton, a few years after George died there, was George’s  wife, so perhaps they married at Skelton in about 1700.

1704

John Farndale (FAR00129A), the son of George Farndale, was baptised at Lastingham on 13 August 1704.

1740

George Farndale, was buried at Skelton on 20 December 1740 (Skelton PR). He would have been aged 64.

1745

There was an Alice Farndale who was a widow and died on 10 February 1745 in Skelton (Skelton Parish Records).
