1790

 

Jethro Farndale, son of Elias and Dorothy (nee Heseltine) Farndill (FAR00184) was born on 12 December 1790 and baptised at Ampleforth on 16 January 1791 (Ampleforth PR).

1822

Jethro Farnill married Alice Clarke of Alne Parish by banns at the Parish Church of Coxwold on 29 July 1822. Signed by Jethro, she ‘marks.’ (Coxwold PR). Alne is northwest of York.

1824

William Farndale (FAR00286), son of Jethro and Alice Farndale, was baptised at Coxwold 27 December 1824 (Coxwold PR).

In December 1824 when his son William was born, Jethro was shown as a farmer of Yearsley.

 

1826

John Farndale (FAR00293), son of Jethro and Alice Farndale, was baptised at Coxwold, 17 October 1826 (Coxwold PR).

1827

Mary Farndale (FAR00298), daughter of Jethro and Alice Farndale, was baptised at Coxwold 17 October 1827 (Coxwold PR).

Mary died at the age of 24 and was buried on 14 June 1853 at Yearsley.

1829

Elias Farndale (FAR00303), son of Jethro and Alice Farndale, was baptised at Coxwold 17 April 1829 (Coxwold PR).

Jethro continued to farm in Yearsley.

 

1832

Alice Farndale (FAR00301), daughter of Jethro and Alice Farndale, aged 9 in Census 1841, therefore was born in 1832 but her birth doesn’t appear in the Birth Register.

 

1834

Elizabeth Farndale (FAR00327), daughter of Jethro and Alice Farndale, was baptised at Coxwold 18 March 1834 (Coxwold PR).

Alice Farndale died at Easingwold, aged 88 in March 1880, so she was born in or about 1792 (GRO Vol 9d page 291).
