Joanna Farndale, daughter of John and Hannah (nee Wilson) Farndale (FAR00177) of Kilton, was born on 13 January 1797 and baptised at Brotton on 14 February 1797 (Brotton PR).

1819

 

Joanna Farndale and William Farndale were witnesses to the marriage of John Grainger of the Parish of Stokesley and Mary Rudd of the Parish of Stokesley on 6 June 1819 (Stokesley PR).

Joanna Farndale married Thomas Wetherell at Long Newton on 3 December 1836 (Long Newton PR, Durham University Library DDR/EA/PBT/2/172).

1841

 

Married to Thomas Weatherill, an agricultural labourer, her sister, Grace Farndale (FAR00219) lived with them at Great Burdon, Haughton le Skerne, Darlington (1841 Census).

1871

 

Thomas Weatherill continued to work as an agricultural labourer, and she still lived with her sister, Grace Farndale (FAR00219), at Great Burdon, Darlington (1871 Census).

1879

 

Joanna Wetherell died in 1879, aged 82, at Darlington (GRO Vol 10A page 21). She was buried at Haughton le Skerne on 25 March 1879, living at Great Burdon (Darlington PR, Durham University Library DDR/EA/PBT/2/127).
