Servant in Old
Malton who died aged 26.
1818
George’s age at death
means he was born in or about 1818. He was the son of Elias and Jane (nee
Foster) Farndale (FAR00224),
as evidenced by his marriage certificate. There is no record of his birth or
baptism. There was a George who was baptised at Stokesley in 1820 (FAR00271), but not this George.
1841
George Farndale of
full age, bachelor, servant of Old Malton son of Elias
Farndale (FAR00224), a
labourer, married Mary Milner of full age, spinster of South Holme near
Hovingham, daughter of James Milner a labourer at the Parish Church, Old
Malton, on 5 June 1841. Say George was 23 when he married then he would be born
about 1818. George made his mark and Mary signed. Witnesses James Fox and Jane
Rawling (her mark). William Carter Incumbent (Marriage
Certificate, Old Malton PR).
1842
Mary Ann Farndale
(FAR00353) was born in
1842 at Malton district, and the birth was registered in the second quarter of
1842 (GRO Vol 24 page 493).
