Census 1841 – Howe End, Danby

Jane Farndale, 21, female servant, born in county.

At the house of the farmer Thomas Scarth.

There doesn’t seem to be a record of either Frank or Jane Readman in census records after 1841, so this was probably just before her marriage.

Jane Farndale of full age, spinster of Dale End, Danby, daughter of John Farndale (FAR00210) labourer, married Frank Readman, a husbandman of Stanghow, son of Philip Readman, a labourer at the Parish Church Danby-in-Cleveland, on 28 August 1841.Both made their mark. The witnesses were George Agar, John Duck and Joseph Duck was the Minister. Banns were issued on 8, 15 and 22 August 1841. (MC). Jane was aged 21 at her marriage.

1884

Jane Readman died at Esk Valley, Goathland and was buried on 9 December 1884, aged 63.
