William Henry Farndale son of William Masterman (Revenue Officer of Cleveland Port) and Jane (nee Brownbridge) Farndale, (FAR00312) was born at Cleveland Port on 26 June 1865 (Birth Certificate), and baptised at Ormsby on 10 July 1865. His birth was registered on 30 June 1865 at Guisborough District by Jane Farndale, mother, of Cleveland Port (GRO Vol 9d page 472).

Lancashire Evening Post, 14 May 1892 and the Liverpool Mercury, 16 May 1892: reported that William Henry Farndale, living at Queensbury house, Manor Road, Churchtown, Southport, was charged with committing an assault to which he had pleaded guilty, though the magistrate could not help regarding it of an aggravated nature, and he was committed for two months, with hard labour.

 

William Henry Farndale, died aged 27 at Guisborough District in the third quarter 1892. William Henry Farndale of Saltburn aged 27 was buried at St Margaret’s, Brotton, on 8 September 1892 (Brotton PR).
