Reginald Cecil Chapman, son of Walter J Chapman (CHA00010) and Annie Mariah (nee Byron) Chapman, was born in Croydon on 23 May 1892 and baptised at St Michael’s Church, Croydon on 14 June 1892. .

Reginald Cecil Chapman, then a surveyor, married Dorothy May Appleby (born 1894) at Wandsworth on 18 August 1923.

1925

 

Their son was Anthony Paul Chapman (CHA00031) was born on 23 January 1925.

The electoral rolls show that Reginald was at Deerhurst, Croydon.

1955

 

In 1955, Rex stood in as ‘father of the bride’ at the wedding of his niece, Anne Buckingham to Martin Farndale, as her farther was ill.

1966

 

Rex died at Southwark, London at the age of 74 on 7 November 1966.
