The Story of the Whitby 6 Line

John Farndale was a sailor of Saith near Whitby. This is his small family who are not yet linked not the wider Farndale family.

Chronology of the Whitby 6 Line

About 1818	John Farndale was born in Goathland.
Perhaps 1836	John Farndale married Elizabeth Frankland (formerly Hind).
By 1851	John Farndale was a sailor at Snaith, near Whitby. His father in law, William Hind, a sailor from Prussia, was living with the family.
About 1841	Elizabeth Farndale, daughter of John and Elizabeth farndale, was born in or near Whitby. She may have married in Scarborough in 1882.
About 1845	John Frankland Farndale, son of John and Elizabeth farndale, was born in or near Whitby.
About 1849	William Farndale, son of John and Elizabeth farndale, was born in or near Whitby.
Perhaps 1865	John Farndale Senior died in Whitby.
