News, 11 October 1963: BRIDE A SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER. Married
at St Mary the Virgin Church, Stow-cum-Quy, were Mr. Alan farndale, of 7
Sunnyside, Meadowlands, Cambridge, only son of Mr and Mrs R E Farndale, of
Stockbridge Farm, Thornton in Craven, Skipton, Yorkshire, and Miss Pamela May Taylor,
only daughter of Mr and Mrs R W Taylor of “The Nook”, Stow-cum-Quy. The Rev R A
Minter conducted the service which included the hymns “O Holy Spirit, Lord of Grace”,
and “Praise my soul the King of Heaven.” The 57th Psalm was also sung. Given
away by her father, the bride wore a full length gown
of white figured brocade, with a short veil. She carried a bouquet of apricot
roses and white freesia. The bride was attended by 5 maids... The bride has
been a Sunday school teacher and church organist at Quy Church for five years
and works as a personal secretary at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. The
bridegroom is employed at the East Anglian Regional Hospital Board as an
engineering draughtsman. A reception for over 100 guests was held at Bottisham
Village. The couple are spending their honeymoon at an undisclosed destination.
The bride's travelling attire included a gilt suit with brown accessories.

1978
Pamela May Farndale (nee Taylor), born 19 December 1941, died age 37, Cambridge
District, in the third quarter of 1978. Buried at Holy Trinity,
Bottisham, Cambridge (or St Mary, Stow cum Quy?) on 31 August 1978.

1982
The Newmarket
Journal, 11 November 1982 reported the death of Mrs Eileen Taylor,
Pamela’s mother, aged 70, a lover of snowdrops, on 25 October 1982. The piece
reported that her daughter Pamela had died comparatively young by 1982. The
service was attended by Alan and Lynda.
1991
Cambridge Evening
News, 27 September 1991: NEW TEAM IS SET UP TO SHOW
RESULTS. GB Geotechnics, the pulsed radar testing specialists, has
formed a new presentation department. The team will be headed by Chris Peters,
who formerly worked for PRC Partnership as an architectural technician,
and includes surveyor and designer Penny Adeney and engineer and
architectural designer, Alan Farndale.
