Keith Allan Farndale, son of Wilfred and Doris (nee Howard) Farndale (FAR00769), was born at Weston Super Mare in 1942.

This photograph was kindly shared by Allan Farndale. Howard Farndale is holding Melanie Farndale and clockwise from Howard are Nigel Farndale, Neil Farndale and Allan Farndale (back left). Wilf used to take his family for walks over the golf course in Filton to view a massive aircraft hangar at BAC, where the Brabazon had been built.

 

1960

Allan joined the Royal Navy in 1960 and served with HMS Pembroke, HMS Fulmer, HMS Hermes, HMS Orion and HMS Llandaff.

Gisborne, New Zealand

 

1965

Allan followed the rest of his family to New Zealand in 1965 in navy transfer. He transferred to the Royal New Zealand Navy and served with HMNZS Philomel, HMNZS Inverell, HMNZS Tamaki and HMNZS Endeavour.

1966

Keith Allan Farndale married Heather Dawn Fenton in October 1966 in Gisborne, New Zealand.

Matthew Scott Farndale was born in 1970 (FAR01173B).

On board the navy supply ship H.M.N.Z.S. Endeavour when it called into Gisborne on a short visit. recently was Petty Officer Alan Farndale. He is the son of Will and Doris Farndale, 8 Foster Street. Allan was in the British Navy before transferring to the New Zealand Navy nearly six years ago, and completes his 12 years' service next January. After he leaves the. Navy, Alan intends to settle in Gisborne. From left: Mr Farndale, Allan, Mrs Farndale, Melanie and Nigel.

Nicole Christina Farndale was born in 1973 (FAR01196A).

Keith Allan Farndale lived at Gisborne, New Zealand at 7 Glasgow Crescent in 1972 and Hawkes Bay by 1981. A purchasing officer. Heather Dawn Farndale. He later lived at Nelson on the north of the South Island.

Later Allan was a missionary.
