1842

Mary Ann Farndale was born in Malton District in the second quarter of 1842 (GRO Vol 24 page 403). Her mother’s maiden name was Milner, so she must have been the daughter of George and Mary (nee Milner) Farndale (FAR00266) who were married on 5 June 1841.

There was a Mary Ann Farndall (the second ‘l’ could be an ‘e’), daughter of George and Mary Farndall, who was baptised at Old Malton on 26 November 1843. This must have been her. George was a labourer.

1844

George, a labourer of Westgate died on 4 February 1844.

1859

Mary Farndale died in 1859, and the death was registered at Malton in the second quarter of 1859.

(There was a Mary Farndale who married James Wilson at Settringham, near Malton in the first quarter of 1891, but this must have been a different Mary if she died in 1859)
