Mary Farndale, daughter of Joseph (a carter living at Brick Lane, York) and Margaret (nee Brown) Farndale (FAR00285) was born in York District and baptised on 24 January 1864. Mary Farndale’s birth was registered in York District in the first quarter of 1864 (GRO Vol 9d page 30).

1886

Mary Farndale, married Thomas French at St Cuthbert, York on 22 May 1886 (MR). She was 22. He was a labourer aged 28.

 

York Herald, 25 May 1886: MARRIAGES. FRENCH-FARNDALE. On the 22nd inst at St Cuthbert’s church, York, by the Rev Canon Fausset, Thomas French, to Mary (Polly) Farndale, both of this city.
