Division of the Civil Defence Corps held a social evening at the Starch
green Centre, Westville Road, Shepherds Bush, on Saturday. Chairman of the Civil

J Farndale who accompanied him, expressed their pleasure at being so well
entertained. Games and dancing were included in the evening’s entertainment.
The organisers were arranging to provide a Christmas dinner for older people in
the district as in previous years.
