Thomas Dod was the son of William and
Eleanor Dod of Highfields (DOD00081) and may have been born in or
about 1600. He was the eldest son.
1645
Thomas, of Highfields,
sequestrated by Parliament 1645/6, dsp (will dated 1652), when he was succeeded
by his brother (Burke, John and Burke, Sir
Bernard (1836)(Eighteenth Edition, 1972), Bellyse Baker of Highfields in
Burke’s Landed Gentry, Volume 3, pages
35 to 38).
1652
William’s elder son was Thomas,
who made his will in 1652. In this will he, being unmarried, left Highfields to
his brother, George of Penders End, Buerton, on condition that his father shall
continue to live there. (Baker, J Bellyse

1656
In a will proved in 1656 Thomas Dod, eldest
son of William, left a gift of £30 to Audlem Grammar School. (Latham F A, Editor (1997), Audlem,

He was at Highfields until 1656
but died unmarried.
