The Story of the Kilton 2 Line

The Kilton 1 Line is a small family who lived in the early eighteenth century, from which the Loftus 1 Line derives.

23 November 1690

William Farndale was baptised at Liverton. He probably lived for most of his life at Kilton.

 

1729

 

William Farndale was a church warden at Skelton parish church.

25 November 1738

William Farndale married Mary Butterwick at Skelton.

 

3 January 1739

 

William Farndale, son of William and Mary Farndale, was baptised in Skelton. William was a constable in Loftus and a freeholder. He married Hannah Toes in Lythe in 1761. He is Founder of the Loftus 1 Line.

7 May 1741

 

Elizabeth Farndale, daughter of William and Mary Farndale, was baptised in Skelton. Elizabeth married James Jameson in Lofthouse in 1767.

26 May 1743

 

George Farndale, son of William and Mary Farndale, was baptised in Skelton.

28 August 1748

 

Mary Farndale, daughter of William and Mary Farndale, was baptised in Skelton. She was buried on 28 March 1750.

13 August 1751

 

John Farndale, son of William and Mary Farndale, was baptised in Skelton. John Farndale was a labourer in Ormsbey, ow Middlesbrough. He married Jane Hornby in 1775. He died in Aycliffe, aged 89, in 1841.

16 May 1782

William Farndale the Elder was buried at Brotton.

 

15 January 1810

Mary Farndale was buried at Brotton.
