The Story of the London 2 Line

James Farndale was born in South Shields in 1912. He moved to London probably in the early 1930s and married Emily Podmore in Hammersmith in 1935. They had five children. This is the story of their family.

The Early 1930s	James Farndale must have moved south to London.
1935	James Farndale married Emily M R Podmore in Hammersmith.
1936	Roy A Farndale, son of James and Emily Farndale, was born in Hammersmith. Roy was a cab driver and motor vehicle repairer.
By 1939	James Farndale Senior was working as a bricklayer in the Notting Hill area of London.
1939	James T Farndale Junior, son of James and Emily Farndale, was born in Hammersmith. James may have been the author of texts on mental health.
1945	Sylvia V Farndale, daughter of James and Emily Farndale, was born in Hammersmith. Sylvia married Peter Thorpe in 1966.
1945	John F Farndale, son of James and Emily Farndale, was born in Hammersmith. John married Sylvia Deacon in Kingston upon Thames in 1970.
