above district held their annual district meeting on Saturday, 21 delegates
being present, representing 12 lodges, composed of 1,648 adult members. The
business was conducted under the chairmanship of brother William Brown DGM,

over the annual meeting of the Stockton Equalised District of the Order of Druids
Friendly Society, which was held at the Borough Hotel, Stockton, on Saturday.
There were 23 delegates present... The following were duly elected as district
officials... The Committee of Management Members are... Brother James Farndale,
PA... A resolution was unanimously passed condemning the State Insurance Bill
in its entirety, the meeting pledging themselves to use their upmost legitimate
powers towards its repression.
The State Insurance scheme
was discussed in Parliament in August 1914 and related to the introduction of
National Insurance, originally a scheme for health insurance for industrial workers.
