Albert Farndale, son of James (general labourer of 12 Catholic Street, Stockton-on-Tees) and Margaret (nee Murray) Farndale (FAR00521), was born in Stockton on 17 July 1907 (Birth Certificate, 1939 Register). The birth was registered by James Farndale, his father, on 19 August 1907 (GRO Vol 10a page 75).

MAYOR PRESNETS FOOTBALL MEDALS. Members of Stockton Railway Athletics FC
received from the mayor, Alderman W Lillystone, the medals
they earned as runners up in the South Bank and District League last season, at
a “smoker” in the Cricketer’s Arms, Stockton, on Saturday night. Mr T F McKay,
president of Stockton Railway Welfare, who presided, congratulated the
team, and paid tribute to the hard work of the secretary, Mr. A Farndale.
