pretty wedding was solemnised at the Church of Saint Peter the Great on
Saturday. The Rev P R B Brown officiated. The bride was Miss Constance May
Burls, and the bridegroom Mr Albert Henry Coombes. The bride was attended by
two bridesmaids,, Miss J Farndale and Miss E Hood, and
was given away by Mr G J Farndale. The best man was Mr W Hoad. The happy
couple received numerous presents.

April 1938: FUNERAL OF A
YOUNG BOY. SAD DEATH AT CHICHESTER. The funeral took place at Portfield parish
church on Monday, of Alec Victor Boyce Coombs, the 15 years
old son of Mr and Mrs W Coombes, of 89 Victoria road, Chichester, who
died on April 21st after a long illness. The vicar, the Rev C E Weekes,
officiated at the service and the family mourners were:

Mr and Mrs V Coombs, Mrs Brown and Mrs Mitchell, uncles and aunts and John Stares,
