Chronology of the Ontario 2 Line

 

 

1871

Samuel Farndale, the son of William and Hannah Farndale, was born in the Guisborough area, probably at Loftus in late 1871.

 

21 April 1892

Samuel Farndale, aged 21, travelled from Liverpool to Quebec on SS Sardinian.

 

There was also a Sam Farndale, a labourer, who travelled from Liverpool to Halifax, Nova Scotia on The Carthaginian on 16 March 1895.

 

20 March 1906

Samuel Farndale married Mary Richardson at Kinsale, Ontario.

 

16 October 1907

William Thomas Howard Farndale, son of Samuel and Mary Farndale, was born in Pickering, Oshawa, Canada.

 

Pickering, East Whitby are districts of Oshawa to the northeast of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario.

 

22 February 1909

Gordon Samuel Kirk Farndale, son of Samuel and Mary Farndale, was born in Pickering, Kinsale, Oshawa, Canada.

 

27 July 1912

Clarence Richard Henry Farndale, son of Samuel and Mary Farndale, was born in Kinsale, Ontario, Canada.
