Ann Farndale, daughter of William and Sarah (nee Sanders) Farndale, (FAR00257) was baptised at Egton on 5 September 1842 (Egton PR). Ann Farndale’s birth was registered at Whitby Districtin the third quarter of 1842 (GRO Vol 24 page 486).

William Husband, 24, a bachelor and mariner of Egton (son of Robert Husband, a labourer) married Ann Farndale, 21 a spinster of Whitby, daughter of William Farndale, a labourer on 14 August 1864 at the Parish Church, Whitby (
MR).

 

Whitby Gazette, 20 August 1864: Same day and place, Mr William Husband, mariner, Egton, to Miss Ann Farndale.

 

1865

 

Their daughter Sarah E Farndale (she appears to have used her mother’s surname by 1971) was born in or about 1865.

 

1871

Ann Husband died aged 60 in East Loftus in 1904 and was buried in East Loftus cemetery.
