1814

 

William Farndale, son of John and Ann (nee Nicholson) Farndale (FAR00210) of Clitherbeck, labourer, was baptised at Danby on 14 October 1814 (Danby PR). The ceremony was performed by D Duck.

1841

William Farndale of full age, bachelor, agricultural labourer of Egton, son of John Farndale, labourer, married Sarah Sanders, a minor, a spinster of Egton Village, daughter of William Sanders, a cartwright at the Parish Church Egton, on 19 April 1841 (Marriage Certificate). The certificate was signed by William and Sarah who made her mark. The witnesses were Robert Stephenson Helm and William S Limmins. Benjamin Richardson, Incumbent.

1841

 

Census 1841 - Egton:

William Farndale, 20, Innkeeper born in Yorks (ie 1821).

Sarah Farndale, 20, born in Yorks (ie 1821).

1842

 

Ann Farndale (FAR00354) was born at Egton on 5 September 1842 (Egton PR, GRO Vol 24 page 406).

1844

 

Samuel Farndale (FAR00361) was born at Whitby on 25 October 1844 and baptised on 2 November 1844 (Whitby PR, GRO Vol 24 page 515).

In November 1844, when his second son Samuel was born, they were living at Church Street, Whitby and William was a farmer. But when Samuel died two years later in January 1847, they were living at Egton.


1847

 

Hannah Farndale (FAR00372) was born at Egton on 17 January 1847 (Egton PR).
