Alan son of Nicholas Farndale
(FAR00006), paid taxes to the
Eyre Court in 1280. (Say age 25 when he paid, then he was born in 1255) (Feet of Fines for the County of York, Volume
68). This fine was probably his bail for poaching – see below.
