1900 Thomas Farndale, born in 1900 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada (FAR00702A). The Ontario 2 Line.
Annie Farndale, born on 21 June 1900 in Gilling West, Richmond and died
in 1971 (buried at St Agatha Church, Gilling, Near Richmnd)
(FAR00700). The Richmond Line. Frederick Farndale, born on 26 July 1900 in Holbeck, Leeds and died on
27 February 1964 in Leeds (FAR00701).

Frederick was a general labourer and heavy brickworks labourer in 1939. (William) James Farndale, born on 9 September 1900 in Londonderry,
Ireland and died in 1953 in Leeds (FAR00704B).
The Bishop Wilton
Line. 211407 Private W James Farndale enlisted just after
the First World War, but immediately he became of age. He had brown hair, of
fresh complexion with hazel eyes of moderate physical development. He was
dentally fit and vaccinated in infancy. He had ‘flat feet’ but not severe. In
1921, he was a garden worker at the home of Colonel Lane Fox at Bramham Park,
Boston Spa and by 1939, he was an estate gardener. John William Farndale, born on 1 October 1900 in Jarrow (FAR00699B).

2 Line. Evelyn Mary Farndale (Green), born on 31 December 1901 in Stockton on
Tees and died in 1978 in Cleveland (FAR00703).

Margaret was a bank clerk at the London, Joint City and Midland Bank in Willesdon, Middlesex in 1921. Gordon Farndale, born in 1901 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada (FAR00704A). The Ontario 2 Line. Tom Farndale, born on 8 January 1901 in Wetherby and died on 4 July
1990 at Harrogate (FAR00704).

In 1939, Tom was a cowman at Winsley Grange Farm in Ripon and Pately Bridge, working for John Dawson, the farmer. Ellen Farndale (Chapman), born on 15 February 1901 at Coatham (FAR00712). The Coatham Line. Her husband, Baden Powell
Chapman, was a welder engineer at steelworks in Middlesbrough in 1939. Josephine Salvatori Farndale, born on 31 March 1901 in Guisborough and
died in 1993 at Whitby (FAR00705).
The Loftus 3 Line.
Josephine was a dressmaker with Marshall and Marshall at the shop on the pier
in Whitby in 1921 and a drapery shop assistant in Whitby in 1939. Joan Edna Murray Farndale (Lee), born on 30 June 1901 possibly in Fife,
Scotland and died in 1993 in Worthing, West Sussex (FAR00711A).

Joan was an advertising secretary in 1939 at Croydon. Margaret Annie Farndale (Smith), born on 10 September 1901 in Bramham,
Yorkshire (FAR00709). The Bishop Wilton
Line. Her husband, Ernest Smith, was a gardener in 1939. Edith Annie Farndale, born on 9 October 1901 in Bradford and died in
1989 at Blackpool and Flyde (FAR00707).

Line. Edith was a book-keeper and
clerk with the Bradford Corporation’s infant clinic in 1921. She became
involved in maternity and child welfare by 1939. Arthur Edwin Burns Farndale, born on 10 October 1901 in Middlesbrough
and died on 30 August 1952 in Harrow (FAR00706).

Arthur was a shipping clerk with George Alder of Middlesbrough in 1921 at age
19 and later, a finance company assistant manager and accountant in
Marlborough, Wiltshire in 1939. Frank Farndale, born on 27 October 1901 in Wandsworth and died in 1987

Durham Steel and Iron Company. He travelled to New York on the Queen
Elizabeth in 1957. Lillie (Lily or Lillian) Farndale (Bedford), born on 8 September 1904
in Hartlepool and died in 2005 in County Durham (FAR00725). The Hartlepool 1
Line. She was a hairdresser in 1939. Ella Farndale, born on 3 October 1904 in York and died in 1986 in York

Gordon was a farmer and married Rova Thomas in East Whitby, Ontario. Doris Farndale (North), born on 24 March 1906 in Stockton on Tees and

Line. Doris was a fly frame spinner in Bradford in 1939. Frances Mary Farndale, born on 20 May 1906 in Rothbury, Northumberland

son in the kitchen, she was catching a ball thrown by the boy when she
overbalanced and fell on the fire in a tragic accident. Alfreda Farndale, born on 16 April 1908 in Darlington and died in 1993
in Darlington (FAR00752A). Rosalie Hessie Farndale (Carden), born on 23 July 1908 in Brentford and

Line. John was a Guilts Time Cutter Printer in 1939. Robert George Farndale, born on 14 February 1909 in Stockton on Tees
and died in 1978 (FAR00755).

Hartlepool and then Bradford. He worked in the merchant navy
